We are an independent entrepreneurial publisher of books and digital materials that edify, entertain, and empower.

Founded by Sharon Arpana Edwards in 2013, Consonant Books is a Minority/Women-Owned small business in Los Angeles (NAICS code 513130). Though primarily focused on Sharon’s books, we are open to publishing well-crafted fiction, memoirs, and devotionals by underrepresented authors.

- Please allow 7–10 weeks for a response.
- A rejection generally means that as a small independent publisher, we are unable to adequately market and promote your book in a highly competitive market.
- Unless we accept a manuscript for publication, we will not offer any feedback or suggestions for improvement.
- If you need a manuscript evaluation or editorial help, you may request one separately from Sharon Arpana Edwards, who has edited many fiction and nonfiction manuscripts in her 25+ years as an editor. Details are on the Editorial Services page.
